With a new school year around the corner, the Wellstar Foundation is proud to announce that 124 Wellstar team members from across the System, as well as qualifying spouses and dependents of team members, were recently awarded scholarships in support of their educational and professional advancement. These scholarship awards are primarily funded by generous donations from fellow Wellstar team members through the Foundation’s Team Member Giving program.

In total, nearly $175,000 was awarded to recipients pursuing degrees in healthcare related fields ranging from clinical mental health counseling, nursing, pre-med, radiology sciences, business administration, engineering and more. The Wellstar Foundation is committed to addressing provider shortages and healthcare staffing challenges in Georgia and through this scholarship program, we are growing and better equipping our workforce to meet the healthcare needs of the diverse communities we serve.
