When Hurricane Helene hit, our Wellstar MCG Health and Children’s Hospital of Georgia team members stepped up, as they always do, to care for the communities we serve. Days later, the Augusta community is still navigating the aftermath.

The catastrophic damage from hurricane and tropical-storm-force winds, as well as flooding, has left many people displaced and without power or access to food, water, gas and other basic essentials. The magnitude of the devastation is heartbreaking, especially when it impacts us close to home.

This is where we, too, can step up and help support the caregivers who have remained on the front line of recovery, prioritizing patient care while navigating the impact on their own homes and lives.
