Today, Georgia ranks 43rd in the nation for maternal deaths, yet 89% of these deaths are preventable. Our communities are facing a maternal mortality epidemic, and at Wellstar, we believe it is time for action. That’s why the Wellstar Foundation brought together clinical experts, elected officials, thought leaders, corporations and community partners at the Healthcare Innovation Series: Improving Women’s Health earlier this week. Attendees and panelists engaged around the health challenges facing women in our communities and were part of thought leadership conversations focused on building action plans with sustainable solutions for equitable and effective care. In the coming months, Wellstar and our partners will be sharing more about how you can join us through philanthropy and collaboration to help make a difference for every woman, every time.

A huge thanks to Monica Kaufman Pearson for moderating the day’s discussions and to all our panelists and attendees. Together, we’re committed to taking action and making a difference for generations to come!
